Hooray for the Red, White, and Blue!!!

Independence Day
July 4

One of our TV stations is showing some of Andy Griffith's own favorites of his shows, so we're watching before going over to some friends' house to celebrate.  Rest in Peace, Andy.

Love these beautiful tags from a few years ago!

I'm taking Broccoli Salad and a Victoria Sponge Cake filled with whipped cream, blueberries, and raspberries to our friends.  Meant to try the Victoria cake recipe for the Queen's Jubilee, but didn't get to it then so this seemed like a good time. Must take a picture when I get it put together!

Happy Fourth of July!

  1. Cute 4th tags.
    Happy 4th of July.
Flooding would be so bad. I am glad I live on a hill. Now the West is having Monsoon rains. Never heard of this but it's happening. Saw that there is now flooding. I hope at least the fires go out.
Still no power for our village. But I am thankull. Our temps seem to be staying around 95. Yuck.

  2. Enjoy your 4th of July! Thanks for sharing the tags love them! Can't wait to see a picture of your cake!!

  3. Those are some great Patriotic Red White and Blue ATCs. I didn't make anything this year in the theme. Life is busy. May you enjoy the rest of your week. Sparklers of Creativity to you dear...

  5. Hey! I just popped in and love the tag ideas~ I'm the new funny faced follower!

  6. Dear Jane, thank you SOOO much for the very sweet card that you sent. It is precious. I put it in a little book to save with some other sweet little momentos of Jacob... never to be forgotten. my bloggy friends have been sooo loving and supportive to me.
thank you thank you thank you!

  7. Hi Jane and thanks for posting a comment over on Retired in Alaska. You asked if my grandson might get stationed in Alaska. Yes he has already his first assignment was a year in a remote Loran station up in the arctic. Only 20 of them there and no family could be there. He is also kicking himself for not picking his home of Kodiak over Chesapeake VA. when he had a chance. He is really missing Alaska right about now and sees he should have picked Kodiak.

  8. Those tags are adorable, I love the vintage images.....Um and the cake you had for the fourth, sounds fabulous!!!

  9. What gorgeous paper art! A fabulous collection.
